The title says it all. Whereas in Office 2013 pinned recent items automatically got sorted alphabetically this is no longer the case in any programme in Office 2016. This is extremely frustrating. Any fix?

If MS can sort a pinned list into most recently accessed first (Office 2016) or alphabetically (anything earlier) then surely they can add an option for the user to choose which way he/she wants them sorted. This option to me is pretty fundamental to being able to retrieve frequently used files quickly and easily.

Excel has been "fixed", but Word has not.
I just noticed that the latest version of Office 365 has restored alphabetic sorting. My version identifies itself as Office Version 1610 build 74466.2038, Excel 2016 MSO 16.0.7426.1015 64-bit. I hope it stays this way, but I am very jaded by now.
