Well, it is important to know, where onenotem.exe is..

i hope it is realy directly behind dir C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\

here is a non tested version for this direction for you t_mae.

    Link: https://rwth-aachen.sciebo.de/index.php/s/w1FqpdZB4Wct929

If it is not working, please find out the direction of onenotem.exe

    Hi cust_

would it be possible to change the paths included in you sweet script to the ones of other Office versions, its a pity, that they all have different ones....

The path to onenote.exe or onenotem.exe is:

For Office 2013 pro plus x64

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\

    Thanks in advance...

    Cheers...

I stand corrected, the double clicking is actually working! It takes a screenshot of my screen when I double click. It is copied to the clip board all I have to do is paste it and the screenshot will show up. Thanks everyone for all the input, def would not have resolved this issue without this thread!

Please read the pages before (at least page 7).

You can wait untill it is fixed, or/and use this (mirror) tool.

Well I had some success today! I was able to get OneNote to open up again using the Pen Button through modifying the registry and using the powershell to remove OneNote Metro. One key thing was that I had to use a different file path. I am using OneNote 2016 64 Bit Version.  I used the following path as the default: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OneNote.exe." I should also note that I initially capitalized "shell" and "command". When I updated the Default to the file path above, I also fixed the capitalization mistakes. Not sure if it actually helped, but OneNote opened up after, so figured I should mention just in case it matters...

One thing to note is that when I double click, that action doesn't allow me to take screenshots. Instead, when I double click it only opens up OneNote 2016. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the double click action to take screenshots?
