Quick Access Toolbar Office 2016 Icon Spacing too big

Appreciate the platitudes, but my frustration is not the point - my ability to work efficiently in my way is the issue.  MS used to put a premium on providing choice and this is a backwards step.  No, I am not minimizing the ribbon - it does take up a lot of space and it did take some getting used to, but I now work effectively with a combination of the toolbar and the ribbon.  For example, on the toolbar, depending on which program I'm in, I'll have formatting, titles setting, window splitting and stuff that I use frequently where the visual cue on the toolbar makes it simple.  The ribbon will be on whatever part I am mainly involved with at the time - mostly on home, but I may be reviewing a document so have it on Review, and use the formatting on the toobar so I don't have to flick between ribbons.

So, long story short - I need both and if I can't have that with 2016 then I don't want 2016.  It does not offer enough advantages to make the death of the QAT worthwhile.

So I guess that leaves me with two questions:

1. Is there a Use Voice for Office in general, because this affects all of Office, not just Excel or Access?
2. How do I uninstall 2016 and go back to the future with 2013?

I work primarily in PowerPoint so this is not the best place for me to be replying although the impact is across the Office family.

I went back and took a look at the way I had my QAT configured.  There were a few icons there that I use sparingly so I was willing to give those up. When I was finished with my review and remove I still had 3 icons that I needed access to.

What I decided to do, because it made sense for me, was to put these on a custom box in the ribbons that were subject to be alive when I was editing - Home, Animations, and Format.  I Set up a custom box on all three and added those icons to those. So now all icons i had in my QAT should be available on a quick pick when I am working.  I almost never minimize the ribbon anyway so this is an adequate work around for me.

I can totally sympathize with your pain. 

The move to the ribbon really killed me. I was one of the minority who had my 2003 menus massively customized.  I too have at times run out of the limited space on the QAT.

Customizing existing tabs is pretty useless because up to 2013 (haven't bothered with 2016 yet) you could not customize existing groups. Had to turn them off and recreate them.  But naturally, the recreated groupdid not look like the original.

That being said, as an alternative for a QAT that has run of out space, you could put all of those commands into a new CUSTOM TAB.  I've put over 60 commands on a custom tab, but it really depends on which specific commands you select, the ones with gallerys (like Styles Gallery) can eat up a lot of space.

Unfortunately, this only works for 'click to run'.  I have an Office365 subscription.  I've been through the support and it says I have to contact support, but then there is apparently no easy way to do that?!?
