Quick Access Toolbar Office 2016 Icon Spacing too big

*No* black theme to be found and it took two in-excel 'updates available' bar cycles over the past 2 weeks, but the reduced spacing did show up in the white theme I'm using. That part of the interface gripe resolved, thank you.

Being in tables and still having the design tab overlaying a good portion of the QAT remains. When a sheet is distributed with a sheet specific add-on set of buttons, they are not available unless you move the cell selection out of the table areas.

So, does this only work with the Black theme or will it work across the board?  I downgraded back to Office 2013 because I had to work and I don't want to upgrade back to 2016 until I'm sure they have it properly fixed.  Let me know :)

QAT Spacing solved!!

Out of the blue, I got a message about the new black theme for Office 2016. And the spacing has been fixed, look.

Hope it will not disappear again...

Someone at MS had a "vision" that the corporate future is smartphones with tiny touch screens.  Too bad they ignored the present user base. 

Probably the same person who decided to change the UI to ribbons.

In both cases, the fix was trivial. Just allow users to make the choice between the 2 options.

Is there a link I can complain to Microsoft about this issue.  Why is the spacing so big and who thought that it would help?  Don't they do user studies on this.  Anyone that customized the access bar is probably unappy
