I can not pin folders anymore in excel or word 2016

    It looks like I'm getting deferred updates - I think I got it to change over to current updates.

    I had this problem in Word 2106 but not in Excel 2016, which didn't make sense.

    I finally realized the pin option IS available in Word on the Open screen, but the pin isn't visible until you hover over the file name.

    Hope this helps others.

    AFAIK only 'Recent' FILES can be pinned.
