can't print envelopes in Word 2016

Window 10 and Office Word 2016, with a HP P2035 laser printer.  Everything  worked fine until I installed Office 2016.  Now #10 envelopes will not print in the proper position on the envelop regardless of how I change the settings in Word.  The printer driver is up to date.

Printing normal documents works fine.

I have done a "repair" on Office several times.   Word still have the "working in the background" flashing cursor, which will not go away.

    Same kind of problem on my Mac. I'm running OS 10.11.6. and an Epson WP4530 printer. My envelopes printed fine until I installed 365. Now on a #10 envelope, the return address is 2-1/4" inches down from the top, and the sender address of off the page --  this even though everything appears as it should in the preview in the print dialog box. (It all prints on 8.5"x11" pieced of paper.) I spent an hour with tech support, first on chat, then on level one phone support with screen sharing, but they could not help me. I'm now waiting for level two support to call me.

    LOL!  My brand new Epson WF-7610 has the EXACT same problem printing envelopes as all these other printers have.  It printed perfectly under Office 2003.  The problem is Office and Windows NOT the printers or their drivers!

    Yes it seemed to print correctly when I changed the envelope orientation BUT that is a bug in the program.  BOTH ORIENTATIONS that are offered should be equally functional - however, they are not.  I am printing especially thick envelopes that need the 'thin' orientation to feed properly into the printer.

    To DaveBartoy or anyone else who has solved the envelope misalignment problem, where is the "Let Windows manage my default printer" option found. Using Word 2016 on Windows 7, I do not find that under Devices and Printers. Thank you.

    Open "Settings" (NOT Manage Devices in Control Panel). Under the "Devices" heading on the left of the Settings window, click "Printers & scanners" if that category is not open yet, and look under the list of Printers & scanners. You will see "Let Windows manage my default printer", and underneath it, a toggle button. Slide the button to the left, and you will see that the setting is "Off".
