can't print envelopes in Word 2016

Window 10 and Office Word 2016, with a HP P2035 laser printer.  Everything  worked fine until I installed Office 2016.  Now #10 envelopes will not print in the proper position on the envelop regardless of how I change the settings in Word.  The printer driver is up to date.

Printing normal documents works fine.

I have done a "repair" on Office several times.   Word still have the "working in the background" flashing cursor, which will not go away.

Assuming that in both cases, you inserted the return address into the Return address space on the Envelopes tab of the Envelopes and Labels dialog, click on Options on that tab and then go to the Printing Options tab of the Envelope Options dialog and change the Feed method.

If however, at work, you had used the Add to Document facility, and then typed the return address, make sure that you type it into the frame that is provided for it as outlined in red below  (It helps to have the display of non-printing characters activated):

Doug, I have a similar issue. What is strange is that at my office where I have a Canon MF249  it doesn't work. The return address comes out on the lower half of the envelope. (I am using Word 2016.) When I brought the same laptop home and switched nothing and printed the exact envelope on my Samsung m2070 it printed perfectly?! I need to be able to print them at the office though. Any ideas?

    Thanks so much

Agreed--and the problem reported by ER and WI with Windows 10 is definitely present exactly as described by them in my Windows 7/Word 2016 combination. MS should be embarrassed by this and get it fixed. Envelope printing is a fundamental use of word processing.

I have experienced this issue since installation of a new Windows 10 computer and installing Office 2016, Home & Business.  After lots of experimentation, my conclusion is that the Envelope Printing App/Bot no longer supports this functionality.  All attempts to change the envelope size have absolutely no impact on my results.  In my case, the return address prints correctly but the text of the addressee block is far to the left of and slightly above the "correct" position. This reminds me of the removal of the postal bar code print option several versions ago.  They giveth and they taketh away!  This is clearly not a printer driver problem!  Or a user problem!
