Pictures not showing in printed versions of reports (or in print previews)

Hi all,

I have an access acce that i run on two different machines, one of which is in windows 10 /Office 2016, the other one is in Windows 10 / Office 2010. My Acces prints out perfectly on the 2010 version of Access and no image is coming our on the 2016 version on Office (the same Accde was printing perfectly as i had Access 2013 before the weekend) now no image is coming out on the print.

If I look on screen at the report, pictures are there, as soon as I get onto the print preview, images are gone !

This is probably a new feature of access 2016 that I am not aware of !

Can anybody help me ?

Patrick, I fully understand the affect this has had. And I couldn't agree more that a way of going back should have been made available. But it doesn't really matter how specific the issue is, a fix needed to be found, tested and then implemented within the rollout cycle. As I understand it a potential fix was identified late in October. And the testing made it miss the November cycle. Hence the December release.

    We have Office 365 for Business and while some users received automatic updates of their Office, I've had to uninstall and reinstall the software from our portal in order to get the fix installed for Access and products updated.

    The work around with Access 2016 is to not use ZOOM for the picture.  You can STRETCH or CLIP.  It took me days to figure this out.

    A brief search shows that this has been a problem since at least 1997 versions of access...

    I cannot believe that basic functionality like this doesn't work. How can you make it not work?

    I just lost 3 hours trying to get this to work for something that normally takes 3 minites.

    It still doesn't i just give up.

    Dont give us a discussion forum with complicated workaround excuses for this kind of basic features.

    Its a waist of your an everybody elses time.

    Just put your time on fixing it!!

    Dont let people like lawrencecummings waiste days.

    So workarounds is not an option, please send me an email when you have fixed this, do not waiste my time with anything else.

    When I use Zoom or Stretch it still does not work. For people who have found a fix, can you clarify the following?

    • What file format did you use (jpeg, gif, etc.)
    • Linked or Embedded
    • Size Mode
