How can I configure Excel to open only one instance similar to 2010.

Excel 2016 when opened opens only one instance. However, let us know if you are talking about the ability in Excel 2016 to open multiple spreadsheets in the same Excel 2016 window? If yes, then this feature is not available in Excel 2016 and was discontinued since Excel 2013.

    why do you insist?

    Why it will be best?? I have gone there, found the thread, and posted my comment. And I have noticed that there is NO ANSWER or comment from MICROSOFT at all!!! At least, here, though the problem  is not solved, some of you looking up. 

    BTW, I reported issues I had with Excel 2013, and still waiting for your answer. I feel this is a waste of time.

    We all know this and THIS IS THE PROBLEM. I DONT WANT IT. Sorry to shout but nobody at Microsoft is listening. Excel has become a walk, talking nightmare. Put it back as it was or at least give us/me the choice. What planet have you been living on for the last eight years!!
