I cannot get Excel 2016 to open and run a file by clicking on the file from File Explorer. Is there a bug?

Online repair doesn't help me but Uninstall and re-installing it back fixed my issue.
Having installed Office 2016 only yesterday, being told to do a Repair seemed ridiculous, in order to solve my "can't open Excel files by right-clicking in Explorer" problem. But it fixed my problem.
It also fixed an associated problem whereby CSV files downloaded from my bank through Chrome were no longer opening in Excel automatically.
In summary, to perform an Online Repair:
Control panel > Programs and features> Microsoft Office > Change > Online Repair

Thanks, it is working perfectly, but took some time to understand,
goto ControlPanel
Select Program and Features
select office 365
right click and select "Change"
select "Quick Repair"
Rgds,
The above "Protected View" option did not work for me, but unchecking the "File Block Settings" items did!
to recap - I went here:
file tab-->options-->Trust center-->Trust center Settings-->File Block Settings-->under this tab uncheck all the boxes
