Hey all, SO, I am not a novice user by any means, and upgrade with each new Professional Office version. Since I upgraded to 2016, my envelopes will no longer print properly. When I feed them through, I get the address at the top of the envelope and the return address is cut off. If i print to a regular size piece of paper, it prints all the way to the left of the sheet. I have tried changing the alignment and changing back, manually designing a custom envelope size, I have uninstalled my printer and reinstalled, I have uninstalled office and reinstalled. Nothing is working. It's almost like there is a glitch that won't line the envelope up properly. It was working a few weeks ago the last one I printed before I upgraded. My temporary workaround is to go to my desktop and print from there as that still has word 2013. But that is not my main computer and is a real pain in the **** to do.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix? Microsoft only tells me that as I was able to install it, I can pay them $99.00 USD (As I am Canadian, this currently converts into approx $140) to fix the issue that they caused, after I paid for the software. That is just as bad as the computer hijackers they have these days. I'll hijack your computer and make you pay to get it back. Ridiculous.

Doug’s solution did not work for me either. I ended up creating a document template that placed my retrun address in the right place and fields for the addressee in the correct place. It works fine, just a little more cumbersome.
I have the same issue with an Epson printer. Recently updated to Office 2016 from Office 2008.
I've had other issues since updating, all of them with a similar Microsoft non-answer and no help, telling me it is someone else's problem, like my Mac. Why is there no problem with any other vendor? Adobe, Google Docs, etc.??? Only Microsoft product.
Anyway, I've been pounding my head to figure out this envelope problem and there is none. The center feed option does exist in the NEW envelope setup but a) it does not work and b) it only is available for new envelopes not ones that you have saved.
This is factually a Microsoft problem that they are unwilling to fix and hoping people just move to Office 365 with a subscription. That's why I updated to Microsoft 2016 from 2008 because their auto update bungled my software and required I move to Office 365. I was able to get tech to help me remove it, but in the process it changed registry files on my Mac that permanently created a problem until I upgraded. Because of this and this envelope issue, I firmly believe that Microsoft is out to cannibalize its older products in order to force people to move to subscription based where they make more money.

I was having the exact same issues today printing envelopes using MS-Word 2016 Product ID: 00333-59013-06197-AA419
on Win10 Creator's Edition version 1709 64 Bit system OS Build 16299.214. I'm using a Brother HL-L6200DW printer. This was was the first time I've tried printing envelopes on this printer which I purchased in October, 2017.
After trying numerous configuration settings in MS-Word with no luck, I tried printing to Primo-PDF using the Envelopes setting with the Center tray default setup in MS-Word. Amazingly, the address information was in the right location in the center of the page, so now printing this PDF page to my printer with the envelope in the center tray worked perfectly signifying to me that it just may be a printer issue.
Your fix to un-check the "Fit to Page" option on the printer solved my problem.

I have been having the same issue with printing envelopes. Prior to an update to Word 2016 a couple of months ago, the envelopes printed correctly with the return address in the left hand corner. Over the last couple of months, the envelopes (#10 size) have shifted to the left about 2 inches. The envelope is treated like it is a #12 size envelope (11 inches wide) instead of 9 3/4" wide.
When I print the envelope on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, the return address is all the way to the left edge of the paper. There is some change that happed a couple of months ago that made this problem.
I have tried doing the clockwise and trying different size envelope (a #9 size). They all printed the same way with the center about 2" left.
Try modifying the way in which Word is expecting the envelope to be fed into the printer via the Mailings tab>Envelopes>Options>Printing Options
