Hey all, SO, I am not a novice user by any means, and upgrade with each new Professional Office version. Since I upgraded to 2016, my envelopes will no longer print properly. When I feed them through, I get the address at the top of the envelope and the return address is cut off. If i print to a regular size piece of paper, it prints all the way to the left of the sheet. I have tried changing the alignment and changing back, manually designing a custom envelope size, I have uninstalled my printer and reinstalled, I have uninstalled office and reinstalled. Nothing is working. It's almost like there is a glitch that won't line the envelope up properly. It was working a few weeks ago the last one I printed before I upgraded. My temporary workaround is to go to my desktop and print from there as that still has word 2013. But that is not my main computer and is a real pain in the **** to do.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix? Microsoft only tells me that as I was able to install it, I can pay them $99.00 USD (As I am Canadian, this currently converts into approx $140) to fix the issue that they caused, after I paid for the software. That is just as bad as the computer hijackers they have these days. I'll hijack your computer and make you pay to get it back. Ridiculous.

If you click on Add to Document, does the Envelope that is added at the front of a document have the return address is the correct place?
If not, if you send me a copy of the document with the envelope added to it, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.
Under Printing Preferences in the Printer Properties, I unchecked Manual Scaling. That seems (I really hope) to have fixed my problem with how envelopes were printing the mailing address. I still have not gotten it to print the return address in the right spot.
Have you tried changing the Feed Method on the Printing Options tab of the Envelope Options dialog.
If you just print onto a sheet of paper, where on that paper does the return address and address appear when compared to the images in the Feed Method options?
What make of Printer are you using? What version of Windows and what version of Office?
That does not rule out the printers from being the cause of the problem. What "other printers" are you talking about?
Are you saying that all of the printers are so smart that you cannot fool them by adjusting the Envelope>Options>Print Options settings.
I have a 7 year old Samsung Printer that prints envelopes without problem from Word 2016 running under Windows 10 or from Word 2016 on another computer running under Windows 7.

So, if you use the right side feed alignment in the Envelope>Options>Print Options dialog and feed the envelope into the printer in the central position, what do you get?
