So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

Facing same problem. I also do not want to buy another version of Visio. I have Visio 2013 and just installed Office 2016. What is the MSFT solution for this ?
See my reply on the first page of this question. MS has a "free upgrade" offer for subscribers to specific Office 365/2016 bundles who have Visio 2013.
You have to contact MS support, give them the links to the offer and fight with them to give you what you are supposed to get. Ask to speak to a manager. Be prepared to waste a lot of time.
There is not one, i had to go back to office 2013. I use visio in class almost evety week. Tried to get a free upgrade, but microsoft kept gave me excucese .something to do worth stand alone, subscription **** even though i had product keys to all my software~it really sucks
what about compatible office 2010 and visio 2016 ?
