So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

You are covered 2 ways, Maxwell Joseph is reaching out to people like you using private messages in this forum. ALSO, if you look through the previous replies you'll see that MS eventually offered "free upgrades" to Visio/Project 2016.
Thanks for the optimistic reminder. I'll continue to wait for contact, but when the problem is this obvious and rampant, we'd have expected that a process be established and put in place by now.
Are we being serviced one by one by Maxwell? Why is it such a hassle not to be able to quote a webpage by Microsoft itself to any one of the Support Technicians and get a standardized resolution?

I assumed you have read the threads. One common theme is that we all got a run a round by Office Support. I personally have already tried getting the "free upgrade" through the method stated on the website. I don't want to repeat my experience in details again. I spent 80 minutes on the phone and was transfer from Office support to Window Support to sales line. Everyone I talked to denied the availability of free upgrade. The options I was given is either downgrade back to Office 2013, which the Office tech was eager to do it remotely for me or buy the Project 2016 and Visio 2016 at small discount price. When I asked to speak to manager, they hung me up, 2 times.
That was 5 weeks after the announcement of the free upgrade.
Can you blame me for being pessimistic on this whole thing?
I am still write those letter and telling people don't buy Office 2016 until I see result.
Hi, I appreciate your reply. I still have not heard from anyone from Microsoft to resolve the problem; and there continue to be posts in the forum from folks with the same poor experience with Microsoft attempting to resolve it. Office 2016 is the worst purchasing decision I've made for a Microsoft product.
