So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

Maxwell is the person with the direct contacts to fix this problem.
I have also submitted this issue to my inside MS contact. He has promised to pass it on. Hopefully, attacking the problem from multiple directions will speed up the fix to the shortfalls at the first level of phone support. Get the word out to all of the support staff about the fix for this problem so front line support know about it and how to fix it or who to refer it to.
Just spent 55 minutes on CHAT with an MS Tech who took control of my PC over this. I argued that I did NOT need help uninstalling Office, that I just needed a key for Visio & Project. But the tech still insisted on going into my Control Panel, enabling System Protection...I asked her what she was doing...then she almost went to my open window where "Remove and Continue" was still displaying for the Office upgrade. Luckily I managed to wrestle control back before the tech almost did what I DID NOT want to do!!
(Seriously - this is the BS minimum-wage support we get for professional applications??)
My issue has gone nowhere. All I want is an upgrade to products I've already paid for, but won't for whatever reason run side-by-side with newer apps.
Geez, are we in 2015 or 1995?

That was exactly what the tech I talked to insist to do, uninstall Office 2016 and reinstall 2013 on my machine. I would not give them control.
At least they did not hang up on you 2 times.
Reading the thread, MS still hasn't get its act together. Maybe, instead of posting our horrible treatment by MS here, we should just go to the presses, so that people won't upgrade to the first horrible Office Suite in decades.
