Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

The link no longer works -- Thanks MS!

Sorry, that is new.  It may also be temporary (hopefully)

I now have Office 2016 and Visio 2016, upgraded from 2013. Contacted https://partner.support.services.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/chat to get the Visio 2016 perpetual install link. First person, Severino, blew me off saying that I needed to phone “PRO support.” Not acceptable. The second person I contacted, Crisanta, got me a link to install Visio 2016.Needed to remove Visio 2013 first, which also removed Office 2013. Did not expect this to happen but no major problem. Deactivated Visio 2013 from my MS Visio Account, which is different from my MS Office 365 account. Win10 machine is now “clean” regarding Office and Visio. From my MS Office 365 account I installed Office 2016 -- took ½ hour. Everything checked out. Installed Visio 2016 from the link provided by Crisanta. Took me ½ day to upgrade Office and Visio to 2016.

Agree whole completely, I have office 2013 home and business. Installed Visio 2016 and my office 2013 is gone. I find this appalling to say the least. Forcing us to keep buying new licenses which I will not do. Microsoft living up to its reputation again.

    Steve and all,

I guess we've all had similar things happen when trying to combine Visio with Office 365.  Rohn007 found me on another Microsoft forum and suggested I post here for possible help eventually.

I too have spent hours on the phone with them.  I told my engineers when they asked me for it if it I a Microsoft product, it is not going to be easy.  And unfortunately, I was right.

We run Office 365 Home, and the engineers wanted one license for Visio.  Well as you all know(after many hours of trying, same as me), that is impossible.

So if there is ever an answer, I would love to know to help my engineers do their job a little easier.
