Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

Hi - I'm one of the unlucky ones that found that Visio 2013 isn't compatible with Office 2016.  Can you please PM me so I can see what kind of resolution you can offer?

    Regards,

    Hi,

I purchased a copy of MS Office 2013 in April of this year. Last night, I purchased a copy of MS Visio 2016, at no stage during the purchasing process was I made aware that the two would not be compatible with each other. I now find myself with either a worthless copy of Office 2013 or Visio 2016. I have been onto your helpdesk and been offered a refund. That's great, but I'd rather have the software :-).

Can you please get in touch to help resolve this issue.

    Thanks.

I'm in the same situation - have upgraded Office365 to 2016 and Visio Pro 2013 (Standalone) has been uninstalled. I simply want the free copy of Visio pro 2016 as mentioned here:

I have spent nearly 3 hours online chatting to 3 different representatives, the last one seemed almost to understand, but I've been told I'll now have to wait between 24 and 48 hours to get resolved.

Could someone please get in touch to get this sorted?

    Thanks.

    Just saw this...

I'll be trying this today and will respond back to this thread with the result.

Wanted to provide an update of my experience. I choose support from my office 365 portal and selected office 365 activations. The support person's name was Jessie and was very helpful.  I provided the link, informed them that I wanted to upgrade my standalone installations as the link had indicated. I provided my two keys and after checking their resources, was able to add Visio 2016 and Project 2016 to my account. They then initiated a remote session to install all 3 products and verified they were all activated.
