So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

Clare, you can't do that! MS has "improved" Office 2016 so that now it FORCES you to upgrade Visio and Project.
You can still get a free upgrade to Visio 2016. Look at earlier postings for the links to instructions on how to get the offer.
Hurry up, the offer expires at the end of the month.
when I try to re-install Visio 2013 I get the message

If you want to install an older version of Office, please remove these newer products and try again.
I just want to install my licensed copy of Visio!
Many, many thanks for this. Got onto MS and, after about 30 mins in chat window, my Visio 2016 install started.
