Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

    Hi Maxwell,

I replied earlier in this thread but have not received any followup through Private Messages. I'm patient (and not acrimonious) concerning this issue as I know there will be a resolution. I'd just like an expectation as to whether I'll be contacted or whether I need to initiate contact

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Hi Maxwell,

Just like Dan, I too haven't received a private message. Should we call a support technician? Please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Hi Maxwell

I have just finished my successful call with the MS engineer, Varun, who was excellent and resolved my issue for me by adding Visio Standard 2016 to my existing account. It has been installed and all is okay again in my MS world. Thanks for your support.

Along the way, from the initial Answer Desk contact to have my issue escalated, there have been some really (I choose to find them amusing) disconnected and disjointed support efforts, but Varun took over management of my issue and personally saw it through, even with my very slow connection.

A learning opportunity for support arrangements, but successful outcome for me.

    Thanks - Deanne

I called MS about this to see what they'd suggest.  They continued to transfer me from Pro Support back to the answer desk twice.  I finally gave up after spending an hour on the phone.  They gave me a link to open a ticket (support.microsoft.com/oas).  Don't bother going there unless you are a school or business as if you click anything other than those 2 options, it routes you back to the general answer desk.

I just replaced my laptop yesterday and now am unable to run my 2013 Visio and Project apps along with Office 2016.  So I can either chose to install Visio and Project OR Office but not both.  And I don't have the option of installing office 2013 as I have o365 which is evergreen.  To top it all off, I bought the Visio and Project 2013 3 weeks ago and have an annual subscription to Office 365 I purchased last December.

My issue with this is that I have the latest commercially available versions of Visio and project as well as a current Office365 subscription and I can't install them on the same computer.  MS could quickly resolve this by providing me an installer for Office 2013.
