Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

So, even though I had followed the instructions to install Office 2016 from Office 365 home, it was not successful even after 5 tries, restarting, uninstalling, restarting...my biggest issue is Visio 2013. I purchased it as I need it! But why can't I find any way to just upgrade Visio from 2013 to 2016? There is no instruction! I do not want to buy the new Visio 2016 when I only purchased Visio 2013 a few months ago. Please help!!!

    Please clarify what exactly "Visio" and Office subscription you have.

    Visio is a "business" product. It does not play well (at all) with Office 365 consumer (Home, Personal, University) ... <yes, I know this is stupid, but it is also MS ... >

    Visio is not part of ANY "Office" bundle, consumer or business. It is totally standalone.

    I just purchased Microsoft Visio Professional 2016 from MyChoice Software and am trying to have it added to my office 365 subscription.  I do not see it added.  What do I do to be able to download the 64-bit version from my O-365 sub?

    I rang the Microsoft UK Support helpline & they were brilliant. Remoted in to my Lenovo & installed Office, Visio & Project 2016 for me in approx 90mins.

    Thank you for your offer to reach out to those affected by this.  I also have this issue.  Got a new laptop and am retiring the old.  Installed Office 2016 first and now cannot install Visio 2013.
