Office 2016 uninstalls my Visio 2013

Look back just one page, on pg 27 I have already posted the links to the fix. You have to contact MS to get the free upgrade, if you qualify and if the offer is still valid (I don't know exactly when this month the offer ends).

Please reach out to me Microsoft Person... I have this problem... Office 2016 from Office365 with a later purchased Visio 2013 that cannot be installed. Please tell me how to fix this before February 28 2017.

Is there a solution for this problem..?

That may turn out to be a challenge. MS has been working on fixing the problem they created with the "improvements" they introduced in the Office 2016 installers.

I suspect that in the end you may have to resort to one of 2 possible strategies.  First is to install Visio inside of it's own "Virtual Computer" session like Hyper-V or VirtualBox.  The other is to try separating the installations in different Windows UserIDs on the same computer (frankly, I suspect this still won't work).

This is an EXCELLENT resource.

Starting on October 11, 2016, Office 2013 software that uses Click-to-Run can be installed on the same computer with Office 2016 software that uses Click-to-Run.

We can also Use the Office Deployment Tool to install volume licensed editions of Visio 2016 and Project 2016 .

You can’t have a volume licensed version of Visio 2016 or Project 2016 installed on the same computer as the Office 2016 version of Office 365 ProPlus.

Also, if there is a 2013 version of Visio Pro for Office 365 or Project Pro for Office 365 installed on the computer when you upgrade Office 365 ProPlus to the Office 2016 version, those versions of Visio and Project are removed from the computer. You won’t be able to reinstall them after the Office 365 ProPlus installation finishes. However, you can install the 2016 versions of Visio Pro for Office 365 and Project Pro for Office 365 on the same computer with the Office 2016 version of Office 365 ProPlus.

You may want to take advantage of this offer to at least get the 2016 version for free, even if you don't want to keep it installed at this time:

Yay..today they finally sent me my link to Visio and Project 2016.

You do have to persevere. It took me about ten tries over 5 days with the answer desk online chat before they escalated it. Within 48 hrs they called and emailed me the links.

I tried SEVEN times, and every representative had a different approach and response.  I finally got someone who “escalated” the issue.  After some e-mail interaction I actually got a call back from someone who knew what they were doing, and got my Visio 2016 license set up. 

A BIG problem is if you don’t have your software associated with a Microsoft account.  If you installed 2013 using a product key, they absolutely can’t help you. You need to have your product key associated with your Microsoft account.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbfIHR_52do At the 32 minute point of this video they BRAG about being able to do a side-by-side installation of CTR 2013 beside 2010.  The new limit in the CTR 2016 installer is “artificial”.  CTR technology is supposed to isolate the programs inside of the CTR from those outside!  2016 CTR has broken this feature!
