When moving word 2013 window it drags/lags behind the mouse.

When i move the window it has this weird lag. When i move my mouse it does move but has a clear lag behind it. This isn't so bad because nothing else lags and i can write just fine, but its still annoying if i need to move the window.

Ok, I searched reddit and found this and IT WORKED. I suggest people trying it!

"I do believe it has to do with the mouse and the USB polling frequency.

With a Logitech MX518 with 125Hz I had no problems whatsoever. Ever since I switched to a Logitech G502 with 1000Hz these Office applications started to lag when dragging. You can reproduce this by changing the mouse frequency in the mouse drivers from e.g. 1000Hz to 125Hz. The option is called "Report Rate" in the Logitech Gaming Software. Dunno about other vendor's mouse drivers.

In the end I think it's probably a f*ckup between the high polling frequency of the mouse and therefore high update rate of the cursor and Windows' GUI VSync as well as Excel/Word refreshing the content of the window.

*edit* Since I also have a 120Hz monitor I'm not sure if this is also a factor to consider.

*edit2* Refreshrate of the monitor does NOT matter. So it's solely the high USB polling rate that's causing this."

    I have been experiencing this issue and when i used another Microsoft account the issue did not persist. What can I change in my original account to get it working normally?

    I have an nVidia card and the problem still happens with me.  It is as if Windows is trying to suggest where the application should go on the screen by slowing it down near hotspots.  Although this issue is probably a bug, this is a completely believable, useless, and counter-productive feature that Microsoft would create.

    I have the same issue while moving word and excel documents around on my screen.  

    I did notice that along with the CPU spike on core 2 that there is also a network spike of activity just after the window is being moved and a smaller one after.  While offline I had very little lag while dragging word and excel documents around the screen.  This might be coincidence but I thought it strange.  I do photo and image editing and have no similar issues with other programs.

    I'm not sure that these drag lag issues are AMD issues.  My computer is Intel CPU, nvidia GPU, and the compy has 32gb of memory.

    Actually I think it might be an AMD driver issue..

    Well for me anyway the problem disappeared when I switched to the nvidia gpu. 

    I think its those new AMD driver withall the extra features, coz there was also some mouse lag and some other things going on. At first I thought it was just Win10 because if I reboot to win7 no problems. Till I realised win7 still uses the old catalyst v14 drivers and win10 uses the new weird ones.

    So guess I'm just sticking with nvidia for now... even tho I do really miss the VSR feature from AMD.
