Checking style in proofing in Word 2016

See that last paragraph of Dan Parish's post of February 28 in reply to Mingwong100's post of February 27 in the following thread

Nicole, the propganda link you provided lists 7 whole "new" features, compared to the 50 config options one of the earlier replies documented as confirmed as removed.  Most of the new stuff is fluff. The "tell me" feature was something I was looking forward to, based on my long experience with the MS Labs "Search" tab/tool addon.  The implementation of "Tell Me" is less than 50% of the Search tool.  They "forgot" to include the learning part, displaying the path to the command, so that people would not be permanently addicted to the feature. <sigh>

As to why no one commented on the missing functionality during the Beta test. Well, it was a beta test. People were not looking to find missing grammar checking and because if they were at all smart, they were not using it as their primary editing tool, therefore were not looking for that sort of help.

The alarming part is that nowhere in any of the Office 2016 publicity material have I seen that the grammar checker has been replaced, resulting in almost total gutting of the grammar checking feature.  Does no one at MS think that this reduction in functionality would SIGNIFICANT to educators pushing out Office 365 Education and students using Office 365 University?

Finally, I fervently hope that when you do get around to fixing the grammar checker this will not be an update/fix that will be limited to Office 365.  It MUST also be rolled out Office 2016 users who bought it expecting at least the same functionality they had in earlier versions.  This "fix" is not adding new features/ functionality that you can rationalize only providing to the subscription users.

PS: could you ask them to make the Grammar settings dialog resizable. I (finally) have 4K monitor and would like to be able to resize the dialog to see all of the options without scrolling. (yes, I know about UserVoice. I've run out of votes ...)

Bravo..well said Rohn..we need ALL the grammar styles restored, not a select few with the attempt of appeasing some folks that are complaining..there are MANY MANY of us that have told others not to purchase this version as MS has rendered MS Word 2016/365 USELESS. We need less cosmetics as changes and more substance.. Who CARES about color of bars and look of the icons!! MS needs to contact a representative group of uses from multiple use sectors to see what is needed and then test properly. Every hear of votes, polls, focus groups???????
