Hello.
I am from the Excel Desktop Test Team. This issue was brought to my attention through the Excel feedback. I will work with you to repro and resolve this issue.
I have read through all comments and one thing was never mentioned. What is your OS (major and minor version)? From the picture on page 1 by AnaloJack, is it Windows10. Have people encountered this issue outside of Win10? If you are using Win10.10586.xxxx,
can I get you to update the display link driver on your system? http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=2 Win10.10586 was shipped with a bad driver and corrupted memory thus causing random features to not function correctly (ie random crash/freeze, slow performance, copy/paste
doesn't work, corrupts files, etc.)
Another option (which was not mentioned) you can start Excel w/o the splash screen (execute
excel /e).
Please perform either one of these two options and let me know your results.
Thanks
Thao
