    I went back to 8.1 yesterday.  Couldn't wait for an update.

    I have been having this issue too - same platform. SP3 on W8.1 upgraded to W10 and then ON13 goes beserk. While going through these forums I checked if "Use pen as pointer" was enabled. In my case, it wasnt. SO that wasnt the solution.

    I then remembered that the Surface Pen wasnt connected recently. When I went in to the Bluetooth Devices setup Screen, I found that the Surface Pen wasnt connected and that it wasa driver error. So i reset the SUrface Pen (holding the top button down on the pen until a yellow light comes up). It connected.

    Then when I checked ON13, inking doesnt disappear1

    ITS EARLY MINUTES YET, BUT i THINK THIS MAY WORK. I will keep you guys posted if it does. Please give feedback.

    The update is out :) 

    To update:

    For some builds, the update can be triggered from File->Account->Update Options-> Update Now. Otherwise it is available through windows updates

    More information:

    After the update, the version will update to 15.0.4745.1000 (or greater). The version number is located in File->Account->About OneNote

    Let me know if this resolves the latest disappearing bug!
