    We currently understand the cause of the bug and are working hard to investigate and resolve it. I will post an update when I have something.

    Could you let us know what the cause of the bug is so that we might avoid triggering it in our use until a solution is reached?

    To mostly avoid the bug, you would have to not touch the screen in any way, including resting your palm on the screen while inking. This is a very challenging thing to do for a comfortable inking experience ...

    Another option is to move back to Windows 8.1, which doesn't have this bug.

    Hello Mavis, I know you said you would post when you had further news but are we many days away from this being resolved...one note is unusable for me, I have updated to 10049 today but the problem still persists, when I tried to roleback to Win 8.1 I got stuck in a reboot loop, if its weeks away then I will go through the pain of  a clean install back to 8.1 if its days I'll wait

    Yeup, problem still remains with build 10049.

    That's WONDERFUL news!

    Unfortunately, the upgrade to Build 10041 brought 2 of my 3 Windows machines down.  One, my Surface Pro 3, had to be replaced at the MS Store.  Its currently running Win 8.1 as I'm a bit afraid to go through the process again, especially after I had a hard time updating the second Windows tablet (a Dell Latitude 10 ST2).

    Hopefully, by the time you have a fix ready, a ISO of the next Windows 10 Build will also be ready for download.
