I think you dont understand the point here.
Ok, this error is send back by the driver but the way the error is handled by Word is counter-helpful.
Acrobat reader show no warning and the print is perfect. Maybe it's a bit harsh but the user is not spammed by 100 messages.
When I asked "why so many spam?" The answer was "One error for each page with error so you can fix". Then my remark was "Ok, but how does it help since the message do not show the page number with error?"
Now, its back to the driver fault.
Since other software with same driver do not show this error it means that there is some code related to that inside word.
Yeah, it's working as intended but how it's intended is not good for the users. Do you want to make microsoft better or not?
A possible fix could be a Boolean variable called "DoesIHaveAlreadySendTheSameExactMessageThatIsOnlyAWarningAndNotEvenAnErrorAndThatShouldNotTurnUsersMad" so this message could be displayed once as a Warning.
Maybe with a checkbox 'DO NOT ASK ME AGAIN" like it's the case in many Microsoft Software.
That would be a perfect improvement.
Users cant the way you want it, please accept that. There are cases when you simply cant "use automatic margin from word".
Now we generate the mailmerge with word, we save is as PDF and we print it with Acrobat. This is faster then clicking the word warning multiple times.
Yeah you are probably right, let's ask all the different printer maker to change their drivers and continue to claim that microsoft want to improve the user experience.
