OneNote (OSX) Language Proofing

Hey everyone, 

I have OneNote for my MacBook (the default language is English) and when I set the proofing language to Spanish (I'm studying at a University in Chile), it seems to go back to English after a few minutes of writing. I know there is a solution for this with OneNote for Windows, but has anyone found a solution for the OSX version?

    I have similar problem.

    My mac is all english but OneNote keeps changing proofing language to my native language with every paragraph.

    I don't know where he gets that setting from.

    Can it be taken from Microsoft region setting?

    Hope they gonna fix that as this is super annoying.

    Hi Logan,

    Thanks for your feedback on Mac OneNote.

    We are aware and are investigating some issues with setting of proofing languages.

    In general, the proofing language is set by your keyboard language setting. So when you create new paragraphs or text blocks we set the proofing language based on the keyboard language.

    Hi Chris,

    People who changes language are usually handling more than one language at at time.

    So for me, I work in both English and French, and to avoid having to always switch keyboard, I have configured it to use US International ... this way I can create French accentuated letters without changing the keyboard.

    But I should be able to do a CTRL-A (Command-A) and set proofing language to the whole Note in a specific language, after that typing a new paragraph should continue on the same language and not switch back. 

    It works fine on windows.

    I agree with pallaire.  I recently lived in Spain, and I have become accustomed to their keyboard style.  I, therefore, set my mac keyboard to Spanish ISO.  However, when I type in OneNote, the language keeps changing to Spanish (even though I might be taking notes, say, in a US History class).  Would you please enable it so that you can set a language per notebook.  In addition, it would be nice to be able to create custom templates (as in the OneNote for Windows).

    I am not sure why OneNote for Mac is so drastically different than that for Windows, but I think that the Mac OneNote should be revamped to resemble the OneNote for Windows.

    Ok, the problem is ONENOTE for mac not recognized /Librery/Keyboard Layout.

    Only original keyboard... i create a new remaping keyboard for my country.. and this keyboard put into the Library/Keyboard Layout, all programs recognized but ONENOTE not.
