Rotate PDF's in OneNote

I noticed that OneNote always displays PDF's sideways after inserting them using the File Printout command.  I read some discussions where MS tried to say it had something to do with the printer driver in Adobe, etc., etc.  I don't understand why I have to install a 3rd party program (Onetastic) which does plenty of good things, but I really only use it for the rotate PDF menu that it provides.  Did the MS engineers just get too tired to include this very basic, totally necessary feature?

    Are you no longer supporting Onetastic for the latest versions of OneNote (2016)?  I had it on the 2013 version and was able to rotate pdfs with it (and enjoyed many other features), but when I upgraded Onetastic disappeared can no longer be loaded.  I am back to not being able to rotate pdfs!

    I can still print out special which works nice for pdfs with many pages, but I miss the ability to quickly rotate without having to open, set all the printer options just so, and then sent/print to OneNote (which doesn't allow for the original pdf to be attached, so that must be done separately)

    Please let us know if there is a trick to getting it to work withy 2016, or if you are still supporting it...?

    Hello, 

     I run into this problem every now and then. However, one thing you can do is to cut and clip the pdf file that's displayed sideways when you are trying to insert it one Onenote!

    Cut and clip?  How do you do this?  Do you mean cut, take into word, rotate/crop, and paste back in OneNote (pheww that is a lot of steps)?

    Thank you for your comprehensive explanation.

    Your solution for rotating file in Adobe, worked for me.

    One note is agreat Software and I use it all the time. I wish MS spends some more resources on it to fix some issues as you highlighted.

    The other issue that I want to raise is the page size. sometimes (not always) I want to only take notes in A4 size paper but wether I do not know how to activate it or there is not that function. For an example Excell has that function. If I want to know that my content will be in a page, I only go to print tab and return to home page, then Excell highlight the boarder of pages. as you see in the following pic.

    I am wondering if there is any solution for it?
