I noticed that OneNote always displays PDF's sideways after inserting them using the File Printout command. I read some discussions where MS tried to say it had something to do with the printer driver in Adobe, etc., etc. I don't understand why I have to install a 3rd party program (Onetastic) which does plenty of good things, but I really only use it for the rotate PDF menu that it provides. Did the MS engineers just get too tired to include this very basic, totally necessary feature?

ok, so ive downloaded the onetastic. it seems that i can only convert one page at a time from portrait to landscape. Is there a way to convert the entire pdf to landscape? also, the one page I selected and converted will not unselect and i am unable to select another slide to convert. is there a trick to this?
Well, another way, which might help the orientation, of the document is to print the pages to one note. I was able to get landscape images onto one note this way. Do not know if this will help anyone. You can also select which pages to print if you're trying to select certain orientations. After that it is just copy and paste manipulations.
i would like to import the pdf into onenote but that didn't work for me.
On my mac, inserting a PDF by dragging it into a OneNote 2106 page everything stays the way is should.
Managing PDF in OneNote is so good when it works, awful when it does not.
This absurd lack of functionality ranks right up there with how Edge manages (or doesn't manage) favorites.
I was excited about tapping OneNote's potential until I tried to insert (print to OneNote) a PDF. That frustration led me here, and now when I leave I'm going to start searching for another program similar to OneNote, since I don't care to have to turn my notebook computer sideways to read a bloody PDF.
Bloody hell, how in the world could this product ship multiple versions without this being fixed?
I find an easy way to take care of this is to right click on the "Send to OneNote 2010" printer in the Devices and Printers control panel, and select Printing Preferences. I changed the default to Landscape, and then everything went into OneNote just fine. Yes, it is inconvenient if you have to frequently switch between layouts, but this is simpler when you are not able to use a 3rd party solution.
