Rotate PDF's in OneNote

I noticed that OneNote always displays PDF's sideways after inserting them using the File Printout command.  I read some discussions where MS tried to say it had something to do with the printer driver in Adobe, etc., etc.  I don't understand why I have to install a 3rd party program (Onetastic) which does plenty of good things, but I really only use it for the rotate PDF menu that it provides.  Did the MS engineers just get too tired to include this very basic, totally necessary feature?

    I have another issue with pdf in onenote. pdf inserted in one note does not loads all of its pages, in any pdf reader softwere. but the same file when copied from one not and pasted out of one note opens perfectly. the same file also is working fine when i open it from my Lumia's onenote, but does not works with onenote 2013 pro. why? i have win 10 and office an win is upgraded

    Hi ejlev, I am the developer of Onetastic addin and also a developer in the Microsoft OneNote team.

    Appretiate your  effort in making our lives easier with Onetastic but whats with this: 

    "This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but without any warranty, without even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the program is with you. Should the program prove defective, you assume the cost of all necessary repair or correction. You are recommended to create a backup of your data before running the program. This program may also be freely distributed but cannot be sold or integrated into another product."

    Let me know if you have further questions. I know that what I tried to explain won't help with your frustration of not having this built-in. Hopefully you like Onetastic.

    Hi Tony, 

    What you are saying will work, but I think you might be missing one point: Documents are not always 100% portrait or 100% landscape; some pages can be in a different orientation within the document. That is why printer drivers automatically get the orientation of pages from the application. Clearly the OneNote printer driver has a bug in this area. Also, as a matter of practicality; if you have to change this setting every time you print into OneNote you add an extra step in the process that isn't necessary. Keep in mind also that OneNote supports inserting PDF as a printout by dragging and dropping the file into OneNote. How else would the orientation be correct in that case if OneNote's printer driver won't automatically get the orientation for each page from the application?  That part isn't working, and that's why all these people report problems! 

    I hope someone from MS is reading this so they can fix their driver... Please, MS, understand you need to automatically detect the orientation for each page when you print a PDF into OneNote!
