Rotate PDF's in OneNote

when you print change format to landscape instead of portrait

In Adobe, I use File --> Print and then choose "Send To OneNote 2013".    If my PDF is landscape, and I leave the Orientation radio button on the Print screen set to the default "Auto portrait/landscape", then when the document is inserted into OneNote, it's sideways (rotated counter clockwise as portrait).   To avoid this, I manually override the default Orientation and set the "Landscape" radio button.   Then when I print to OneNote, the orientation is correct.  Hope this helps!

I found that when using the "insert printout" option, I had no choice as to the rotation (portrait or landscape) of my printout, however if I printed to OneNote from Adobe reader, I could choose my orientation under Properties and thusly rotating my printout to the proper orientation without need of a 3rd party application.

What you are saying will work, but I think you might be missing one point: Documents are not always 100% portrait or 100% landscape; some pages can be in a different orientation within the document. That is why printer drivers automatically get the orientation of pages from the application. Clearly the OneNote printer driver has a bug in this area. Also, as a matter of practicality; if you have to change this setting every time you print into OneNote you add an extra step in the process that isn't necessary. Keep in mind also that OneNote supports inserting PDF as a printout by dragging and dropping the file into OneNote. How else would the orientation be correct in that case if OneNote's printer driver won't automatically get the orientation for each page from the application?  That part isn't working, and that's why all these people report problems! 

I hope someone from MS is reading this so they can fix their driver... Please, MS, understand you need to automatically detect the orientation for each page when you print a PDF into OneNote!
