Rotate PDF's in OneNote

I noticed that OneNote always displays PDF's sideways after inserting them using the File Printout command. I read some discussions where MS tried to say it had something to do with the printer driver in Adobe, etc., etc. I don't understand why I have to install a 3rd party program (Onetastic) which does plenty of good things, but I really only use it for the rotate PDF menu that it provides. Did the MS engineers just get too tired to include this very basic, totally necessary feature?

1. Open the PDF in Adobe.
2. Select print
The print dialogue box will display.
- select "send To OneNote" as the printer
- uncheck the box "Auto-Rotate and Center"
- select "Properties" and then select "Landscape" from the "Layout" tab. Then select "ok"
- Then select "ok" in the "Print" dialogue box.
Tested it twice and this solved the issue

What I actually do is paste just the file and then open up the PDF and use the snipping tool to copy and paste. It is now a picture instead of a print image. Of course if it has more than one page it is a hassle. Hope that makes sense. You would think with technology the way it is today that the "rotate picture" icon would work for this, but who am I?... :)

Use OneTastic. It is cost and hassle free.

ok, so ive downloaded the onetastic. it seems that i can only convert one page at a time from portrait to landscape. Is there a way to convert the entire pdf to landscape? also, the one page I selected and converted will not unselect and i am unable to select another slide to convert. is there a trick to this?

Not too sure if this was solved for you. I am an avid user of OneTastic. To rotate multiple pages, either CTRL-A (if that is the only data on the sheet) or CTRL + Click the pages you would like to rotate. Once selected, Right Click on of those pages and rotate using OneTastic.

This discussion is an exception, we actually have contact with a real MS developer. But, since this question was started MS created the "Feedback" system. This forum is now essentially ignored by MS management. The "feedback" system now is the "official" place for users to submit bug reports and feature requests. More MS developers AND managers will see submissions there than here. So you really should go to Feedback and either find an existing suggestion or create a new one

I understand that you were not able to include the rotate feature for print out in OneNote in 2013, how about now 5 years later? Any closer to a incorporated solution? This is really a prominent issue with a very utilized aspect of OneNote, seems it should move higher on the prioritization list for microsoft.
