I am trying to open a document in Word but a dialogue box keeps telling me:
"Sorry, we couldn't find your file. Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?"
It then states the correct name of the document and where I filed it.

Can you browse to the folder using the File Explorer? If so, is the document in the folder? If so, from within Word, use File>Open and navigate to that folder and then select the document.
issue occurs with specific document and is located in a folder on my desktop and I have also tried to open in a recent list, nothing works

yes this file was opened from an email attachment, i thought that it was saved once i pressed on the save button when i was closing it, but then it didn't open " sorry we couldn't find your file, it is possible it was moved, deleted or renamed ." Hi Mate, try to shorten the file name. Works great on me.
