why cant i draw a straight line or arrow in word 2013?

hi

in word 2013 when I want to draw an arrow or a line it cant be straight in 180 degree in page and it is always a bit curve to up or down for example draw a rectangle and on its border line draw an arrow ( the arrow must be exactly on rectangle border line ) and you will see that the arrow is curve and is not on rectangle border.

This is easy to recreate, but can be solved by setting the height or width to zero in the ribbon.

    As a professional programmer I can tell you we do not intentionally include bugs that affect users "as a prank" (but we do sometimes include "easter eggs").

    We do not secretly or publicly laugh at users troubles. OK, sometimes we do, like when they do something surprising/unexpected. Lets face it, programmers and users do NOT think the same way, so sometimes/often they do things we simply did not imagine and find amazing.

    Why doesn't MS fix the problem.  Simple.

    $$$MONEY$ $ $

    MS uses their "telemetry" (aka spyware) to collect usage stats.  Since the problem has not been worked on, it is a safe guess that the numbers they have collected show that not enough users are affected by this problem to 'justify' the cost of fixing it ... it is simple economics, simple business, simply frustrating.

    Why doesn't Microsoft fix the problem?  I seems pretty simple to fix it so that you can move the arrow back to a straight vertical or horizontal line? 

    Is this like a programmer's prank?  Are they secretly laughing at users trying to get an arrow back to being straight by moving the end points.  Ha ha you almost had it in position. 

    I am using 2010 and it is amazing that they re-cluttered the layout and moved everything around before fixing simple things like this.

    This answer doesn't really fix the problem, it just provides a work-around for poor quality.
