PowerPoint will not allow me to paste anything into a slide. I have tried text into a text box, shapes, entire slides. It allows me to copy or cut, but when I try to paste it is greyed out or does nothing when I use Command+V on my MacBook Pro. I am running Office 2011 Home & Student and copy and paste work fine in Word and Xcel. I have tried to reinstall the software and that didn.t help either... Any ideas?

Hi Eric,
Run Apple's Disk Utility.app program, which is located in your /Applications/Utility folder. Use it to Repair Permissions on your Primary Drive, which is usually Macintosh HD.
Then power down your system completely and restart. Test if this clears up the problem.

I found this thread after finding the very same problem. I have V10.9.2 OS and MSOffice 2011 purchased over the net. Like others I am unable to copy and paste any shapes within Powerpoint by any method including the drop downs that are all greyed out. i have tried all suggested solutions on this thread to no avail including Rich's. This is extremely frustrating after just being a convert to Macs from Windows.
Any further suggestions / help would be very welcome.
