Google Drive now supported in Word for iPad?

Wait a minute, slow down creepy dude. Are you one of those people that watches those Ghost & Paranormal programs with the covers pulled up tight under your chin? You do realize that dead people, so far, stay dead, right? I mean there was a time they ran a little string down to the coffin attached to a bell above the grave but that had nothing to do with dead people actually coming back. That was in case they accidentally buried someone who wasn't dead and the town dentist/doctor/mayor/bartender and closet corset wearer made a mistake and the person could ring the bell and hopefully alert the local teenagers that hung out in the cemetery late at night drinking beer and smoking the 'good' hemp. 

I mean, isn't that just as absurd as taking it seriously a dead CEO really has something to do with Word and Google Drive not playing well on an Apple mobile device? I'm typing this by tapping on my magic screen keyboard with my magic Apple pen because my handwriting is so bad even the best recognition software has a hard time with it. Even though I believe Apple played dirty for many years, at their own expense, it doesn't mean I believe in ghosts. However, it is interesting that Office Products and other third party - meaning not Apple - also can't access Google Drive and they are supposed to. I'm no big fan of Bill gates either. He did nothing special but pick a day to visit IBM when the guy in procurement was hungover and didn't feel like going through the paperwork required to buy a product when negotiating a lease only took him 15 minutes, 3 cups of coffee, and some aspirin.  That and making his minions work like dogs to put Wordperfect and Lotus 123 out of business is the only thing that made him the wealthiest man alive. If jobs, the real visionary, didn't have such a temper and a stick up his ass he would have passed Bill's wealth long before he passed. But, let's face it, he was a bigger jerk than Gates and so in love with his ideas that he wouldn't let anyone else play with his toys and had to leave Apple. He was still a visionary but the world didn't need another OS and he grew up while he was away from Apple... some. 

All that still doesn't convince me that Apple wants to stay the biggest gorilla in the jungle and only Google threatens that right now.

ForgetEverything, so you’re saying that Apple is reponsible for MICROSOFT Word not saving to Google Drive in the MICROSOFT Word app for iOS? Yeah.... I missed something.

Also, this MICROSOFT prompt on a MICROSOFT website that I am accessing from my iPad, typing with an Apple Magic Keyboard, seems to not function well with the arrow keys on my keyboard. Also, it will not spell check... sepll cekchk... no red lines... nothing. It also will not accept any autocorrect from my iPad. But this is all on Steve Jobs and Apple. Again, I must have missed something.... If anything, blame should be placed on both Microsoft and Apple for not knowing how to play nice with each other during recess.

Yes, there is a bug. The bug is still up Steve Jobs ass and is still exerting  it's force from beyond the grave.

Apple always has and always will maintain the attitude of not wanting  to play well with others. It took over 2 1/2 decades before Apple would even  begin to think about letting anything non-Apple work with an Apple device. They floundered  for years and years as a Desktop solution even though they had  The better operating system long before Billy Gates even thought about it. They stole  The mouse idea from Xerox and  although people begged for a two button mouse solution apple refused to give in.  While Apple is cool no days and you have millennial's that refuse to own anything else it has nothing to do anymore with Apple having a better OS  and everything to do with the same youthful  rebellious attitude we all once had, as long as it's something our parents didn't have, didn't like, or didn't want we had to have it.  The reason we didn't like Apple products  was because they were too expensive since all the periphials had to be Apple products, and they charged a premium for everything.

 Think of how long it took before Apple would  allow the use of the same processor brands that 99% of the rest of the world used in their computer.  Or how long it took for them to allow Microsoft to create a version of office that were run on a Mac.  They did finally give in and start playing well with Microsoft, and letting us geeks put in the drives and graphic cards and other boards of our choice in their boxes. 

Now it's Google's turn. There can only be so many 800 pound gorillas running around loose at one time.   This is not a Microsoft problem, this is not a Google problem, this is in the fine print of apples original mission statement. **** everybody else.

Steve Jobs personal mission statement was, as he said, leave a dent in the universe.  He was a great man and he's still leaving dents wherever he can. 

Apple, it's time  to let baby go.  Pull out the malicious code that is keeping us from using Google Drive will add a place.

All file storage for my consulting business is on Google Drive. The inability of Microsoft Office apps in iOS to access these files is absurd. I've resisted going over to the Office equivalent apps Google offers but doubt I can hold out much longer.

Come on Microsoft, solve this problem.
