A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
I also am having this issue. Is it perhaps a permissions issue with Google? I've tried everything. I can access Drive with the mobile Outlook app.

So Word for iPad's latest update allows integration with Google Drive, but I can't get it to work.
I checked in 'Add a place' - I can select OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Dropbox or Sharepoint, but no sign of (Google) Drive.
Under ". . . more" , and "Locations" there's a slide button to select Google Drive, but I can't see any effect. Even with this switched on, Drive doesn't appear under any of the menus.
Is this a bug?

The app was updated AGAIN over the last 24 hours and this problem is still there, as it is in PowerPoint and Excel.
This is beginning to feel like a tease!
So MS updated the app today, but the problem persists.
Any response from Raju or other MS personnel?
By the sounds of it Microsoft is after Google's mkt share.
I'm new to the iPad and can use Google Drive perfectly on my Macbook & Nexus phone. Shame the iPad apps are lacking.
I've recently closed my Dropbox account and have a split of Android / Apple products using Google Drive. Would be pretty disappointed, glad I've not coughed up for Office 365.
@Raju / Microsoft - about time you made the app's more flexible. I've already paid a fortune for Office Home.
Now to decide to drop MS apps / Use Google / re-open Dropbox / or use iCloud.
I had almost the similar kind of issue on my device. I uninstalled and reinstall the app once the installation was successful it started working fine.
Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the app, if you have not tried then uninstall and reinstall the app and check if it helps like mine.
I've just tried an uninstall and reinstall again, but the problem persists.
(What do you mean by 'almost similar' issue?)
i can successfully enable DropBox and iCloud Drive, but even though I can check Google Drive, it fails to appear as a file location.
I'm unimpressed (but not surprised) that no Microsoft person has responded apart from one who had clearly not bothered to read the thread.
come on Microsoft.
