Word found unreadable content...

I am working on my dissertation and recently purchased Word 2010.  Now, when I try to open my paper I get an error message that "Word found unreadable content in....."  When I select yes, to recover that contents I then get another error message that says "we are sorry.  We can't open ......because we found a problem with its contents."  The details then state:  "Operation aborted: max-element-depth constraint violated."

I have tried doing the open and repair and then saving but nothing works...help please?

    I cannot really see anything wrong with your document. Perhaps you simply have the Auto-Save reminder set to a very short interval. Consult the Google-Docs documentation or Word for Mac 2011 help file on setting the Auto-Save interval and confirmations.

    I fixed it by creating a new file - it might have something to do with my computer crashing the night before. Read somewhere that that could cause problems. My Auto-Save interval was set to 10 minutes - don't know if that is regarded as very short.

    FWIW, 10 minutes is the default interval for saving AutoRecovery data.

    I am having the same issue, can someone please help?  I have tried the normal recovery methods, even trying to scrape the text using a hex editor, but to no avail.  It is time sensitive, so if there is an easy way to fix it ASAP, let me know.

    Hey there,

    I seem to be facing the exact same problem except for a minor detail. I have originally saved my word file to desktop, and it was working just fine but then I cut the file and posted it on USB which appears to have been infected, when I tried to copy it from the USB to another laptop, the same error message popped up as the one above. Please try to help me, I'd really appreciate it ..
