Word found unreadable content...

I am working on my dissertation and recently purchased Word 2010.  Now, when I try to open my paper I get an error message that "Word found unreadable content in....."  When I select yes, to recover that contents I then get another error message that says "we are sorry.  We can't open ......because we found a problem with its contents."  The details then state:  "Operation aborted: max-element-depth constraint violated."

I have tried doing the open and repair and then saving but nothing works...help please?

    It certainly sounds like an XML tag problem within the inner configuration files, typically word/document.xml. These can often be manually repaired with little to no loss of content.

    If you would like someone to attempt a manual; repair on your document, you will need to upload a copy of your damaged DOCX to a public file area like SkyDrive, DropBox  or Google Drive and post the location to the publicly shared file back here.

    SkyDrive's current policy is to not allow downloads on corrupt DOCX files. Go figure.

    Please try to upload a copy that has not already been subjected to repair attempts as previous attempts may have stripped content that was recoverable with a manual edit of the internal components configuration files.

    With some initial experimentation, I found that the DOCX would open flawlessly in Word 2007 but ran into some issues with Word 2010. After saving in Word 2007, the opening problems went away in Word 2010.

    All 75 pages see to be there with no loss of content. Make sure that you are using all relevant updates to your Office 2010 programs.

    Thank you for your help with this.  I am still having issues though.  I clicked on the link you provided, downloaded your version, and as soon as I tried to open it, I got the same error messages as before.  This is SO frustrating.  I am at the point where I just want my old version back!  Any suggestions?

    Okay...feeling really dumb here...I originally put that I am using Word 2010 when in fact it is Word 2013.  Sorry!  Maybe that will change the fix that I need?
