Word found unreadable content...

I am working on my dissertation and recently purchased Word 2010.  Now, when I try to open my paper I get an error message that "Word found unreadable content in....."  When I select yes, to recover that contents I then get another error message that says "we are sorry.  We can't open ......because we found a problem with its contents."  The details then state:  "Operation aborted: max-element-depth constraint violated."

I have tried doing the open and repair and then saving but nothing works...help please?

    Hello 

    I am also having trouble with my Microsoft Word 2011, opening the word file is giving: "word found unreadable content in the ...." 

    My master's thesis document have had issues with language compability, although I think I have fixed it because when I run a compability check, nothing shows up. 

    However, it does not stop the software form asking me to constantly re-save my document. I work in Google Drive, maybe that is the issue? Hope it can be fixed. I have tried everything, it was fixed for a while but now the issue is back. I also use Mendeley reference software, if that is any help. Here is the link:

    Hi Guys,

    I need help on almost the same issue, my usb drive crashed yesterday and I have very important content on the drive. I have recovered most of the missing files, but there is a word document that I cannot open I believe it is for the same reason as above.

    opening the word file is giving: "word found unreadable content in the ...."

    Anything I can do to fix this?

    When trying to open your document, Word reports that it cannot open it because of missing content.

    When changing the file extension to zip, it is not possible to open the archive because all of the utilities with which I normally can do that, report that the archive is corrupt.

    When opening the document with WordPad, all you get it garbage.

    All of the above symptoms are typical of a document that was saved to some form of removable media.  I guess that there is also the possibility that the save operation failed for some other, unusual, reason.

    Sorry, I suspect that the document was probably opened from, or saved directly to some form of removable media (USB Drive\SD Card) as it cannot be opened because there is missing content.

    Thank you for your reply, but I typed this document from scratch on my computer and saved it to my computer.

    Sorry, I suspect that the document was probably opened from, or saved directly to some form of removable media (USB Drive\SD Card) as it cannot be opened because there is missing content.
