excel 2013 crashes in windows 8.1

Hi,

I've made a fresh install of windows 8.1, and then office 2013. However excel 2013 crashes every time right after I try to scroll down.

  • Works in safe mode
  • There are no add-ins installed
  • Other office programs work fine
  • already completely uninstalled (via fixit) and reinstalled the software.
  • running windows 8.1 pro

"take a back-up of that OSF.DLL file and delete it.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\Office15\OSF.DLL

Or

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSF.DLL

Once the file is deleted open Excel and check if the issue persists."

    If you are using Avast! Antivirus, I think we have something there that may help.

    I've tired a clean boot and installing

    Microsoft Windows Rights Management Services Client with Service Pack 2 - x86 as instructed via Microsoft office configuration analyzer.

    Still wont work just keeps crashing both excel and windows oh and it said the links don't work in outlook.

    Come on Microsoft sort it out
