excel 2013 crashes in windows 8.1

Hi,

I've made a fresh install of windows 8.1, and then office 2013. However excel 2013 crashes every time right after I try to scroll down.

  • Works in safe mode
  • There are no add-ins installed
  • Other office programs work fine
  • already completely uninstalled (via fixit) and reinstalled the software.
  • running windows 8.1 pro

Or

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSF.DLL

Once the file is deleted open Excel and check if the issue persists."

    Once I delete the file and open excel it starts configuring Microsoft office and fie reappears again.

    Hello I have the same problem with Word and Excel. When opening an existing or creating a blank Word or Excel file both crash with a 'Microsoft Excel has stopped working'. Both are 2013 version and Windows 8.1, HP250. Neither 1 or 2 work and I have OffCat files from option 3, where can I post them to? Please help thanks!

    1. Change the default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Writer/OneNote following the steps from the link below and then check whether issue occurs:
