excel 2013 crashes in windows 8.1

Hi,

I've made a fresh install of windows 8.1, and then office 2013. However excel 2013 crashes every time right after I try to scroll down.

  • Works in safe mode
  • There are no add-ins installed
  • Other office programs work fine
  • already completely uninstalled (via fixit) and reinstalled the software.
  • running windows 8.1 pro

"take a back-up of that OSF.DLL file and delete it.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\Office15\OSF.DLL

Or

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSF.DLL

Once the file is deleted open Excel and check if the issue persists."

    Thank you SOOOOO much adutchguy1986! Microsoft should have posted this somewhere on their support site. I've wasted all day looking at all the other posts that didn't help at all. This worked and it was so simple!! I've uninstalled/re-installed; deleted add-ons, etc. This is one file gone and it works! Thank you again.

    If you do not have Avast! antivirus, simply follow the directions below to clear the Trusted App Catalogs regkey.

    Hello Hai,

    You might try looking for an updated printer driver. Also, because the video does have some input into what is sent to the printer, a new video driver.
