Excel 2013 Insert and Delete (column/row) grayed out for all workbook

Hello -

I have an odd issue.   No matter if it is a new or existing workbook my insert and delete row/column options are greyed out.   The workbook is not protected as this happens for even brand new ones as well.  I have searched and cannot locate a solution.

Windows 8

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Just solved my own issue.

Had to delete the \Office\15.0\Excel\Options via regedit.

Problem resolved.

    Found another reason that will stop you from entering an extra column. If you have conditionally formatted your rows all the way across to last column that the sheet holds, then you can't insert i.e. add, another column. You need to delete out some of the last columns so that they do not have any formatting and then Excel will allow you to insert.

    Hi

    The issue keeps returning randomly , after closing opening or restarting pc  works 

    it is frustrating some time
