Excel 2013 Insert and Delete (column/row) grayed out for all workbook

Hello -

I have an odd issue.   No matter if it is a new or existing workbook my insert and delete row/column options are greyed out.   The workbook is not protected as this happens for even brand new ones as well.  I have searched and cannot locate a solution.

Just solved my own issue.

Had to delete the \Office\15.0\Excel\Options via regedit.

Problem resolved.

    You probably should not have assumed that everyone knows how to navigate to appdata directory. I, for one, didn't. And it cost me another google search.

    YIkes!

    Anyone try un-sorting all their columns?  I tried all solutions on 10 different websites and then realized that I had 'Sort & Filter' on within my sheet. Unsorted every column back to 'Select All' and boom.  There is my Insert option when I right click in a cell. Done.  Dusted.

    Check your 'Table' Settings. If you click on a cell and 'Table Tools' tab pops up, click the button that says 'Convert to Range'. 

    Fixed my problem. I don't know why it was set up as a Table to begin with...

    i did the same in EXCEL 2010 ..thanks to jamestuck..

    and thanks to MadhuparnaC..for excel14.xlb.

    i think this problem appears for anyone who enables macros for income tax return form of india. Best is to use java version IT RETURNS . SO THIS WILL NT CHANGE EXCEL!

    It worked for me  for Excel 2010.

    Changed  Excel14.Xlb to Excel14.Old  in the folder

    C:\Users\Square K\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel

    I faced this problem after using the India income tax returns ITR2 in macro mode.
