Excel 2013 Insert and Delete (column/row) grayed out for all workbook

Hello -

I have an odd issue.   No matter if it is a new or existing workbook my insert and delete row/column options are greyed out.   The workbook is not protected as this happens for even brand new ones as well.  I have searched and cannot locate a solution.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Just solved my own issue.

Had to delete the \Office\15.0\Excel\Options via regedit.

Problem resolved.

    Yes, this worked for me as well. And you are probably right this might be due to IT return excel file macro. Thanks

    Hi,

    I had the same problem today.

    You simply need to close Excel, then navigate to "%appdata%\Microsoft\Excel" in Windows explorer and rename Excel15.xlb to Excel15.old, and finally restart Excel and the problem should be fixed.

    I noticed that it only occurs with a specific spreadsheet.

    I can insert and delete rows but not cells.

    I do not have any protection enabled and my other spreadsheets is working. Any idea why insert cells is greyed out and not an option when I right click? I can delete and add rows and columns.

    Thanks. This resolved my issue. I was struggling with virtually no help from MS Office. Had reloaded Office, Checked all Option settings, upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10, searched MS Office community answers but nothing worked. Thanks a TON !!
