Why are my onedrive documents opening in read-only mode after installing office 365 home edition?

I'm having the same problem.  I downloaded Windows 10 and everything worked fine for several days.  I then activated my OneDrive account.  After that, all my Office 365 files open only in Read-Only mode.  I tried to unsync OneDrive but when I rebooted, I lost access to my Start Menu and Microsoft Edge.  I did a System Restore to the latest Windows update and got access back to my Start menu, but Microsoft Edge is still disabled.  All my Office 365 files still open only in "Read-Only" mode.  I also notice that when I try to save a new file in my Documents folder, it says I don't have permission and asks if I want to save to my Documents folder.  When I say yes and try to save, I get the same error message.  So I can't save any documents to the Documents folder because the system does not recognize me as having Administrator permissions, although I'm the only user on this computer and I have Administrator rights.  Does anyone know whether Microsoft has a solution to this problem?

overcome the problem. If so, it is something that has been brought to the attention of Microsoft and they are working on an official update with a real fix.

You sent me this same answer in another thread but it didn't work.  When I tried step "1" and rebooted, my Start Menu and Microsoft Edge ceased functioning.  Clicking on either icon did nothing.  Thus I could not access any apps on my entire computer.  I was forced to reset the sytem to a Restore Point prior to activating OneDrive.  Even after doing that Microsoft Edge still is not functioning.  I press the icon and nothing happens.  I reinstalled Windows 10.  Still Microsoft Edge is not functioning.  So now I'm worse off than before attempting the "fix" in the link you sent me:  (1) I've lost Microsoft Edge and (2) the system still does not recognize my administrator rights even though it acknkowledges me as the administrator, the owner, and the only user (i.e., all of my files open in Read-Only mode only).  What do you suggest now?
