No matter how good of a picture I have when I insert it into Visio 2013 Pro, it is blurry.

I get blue prints as JPG PNG BMP but no matter how good the quality of the picture, after it is inserted into Visio none of the words can be read.  I even used a 600 dpi 36"X24" crystal clean blueprint and it still looked blurry or pixilated in Visio.  What's the deal with this $300 software?  I can open up the bmp png jpg in previewer and it looks great zoomed in by the way.

    I am dealing with the exact same issue. As in your case this is for business purposes and I am having big issues with inserting images and becoming blurry and unusable. What software did you find that fixed your problem.

    Check out a free program called Inkscape (research it).  It takes a bit of work, but I did get a usable version to insert into VISIO.  I can't believe this problem still exists!  Almost makes me want to go MAC. :(

    Is there a fix for this available yet?

    I have found that it is not only .png / .bmp etc but CAD drawings appear blurry in 2013 too.

    This is a fundamental flaw and needs to be resolved.

    v2013 sp1 has been released with several critical fixes. You might apply the fixes and retry your issue.
