No matter how good of a picture I have when I insert it into Visio 2013 Pro, it is blurry.

Thanks mcking38. When I see the file and extracted the image, the image file itself is blurred. Can you share the original image as well along with the file so that I can try this at my end.

I am trying to determine if -

1. The right patch is applied.
2. Registry is setup correctly.
3. Post these steps, the image is inserted in the file.

May 22nd is when I started inquiring about this glitch.  That is my main frustration.  I've been ignored for 5 months now.  The ONLY purpose for buying Visio is so I could add components to PDF or PNG full size schematics.  This seems like such an easy solution for the engineers since it never was an issue before 2013.

Visio takes a perfect high resolution schematic and turns it into ****.  Sure, I agree with you that it works fine otherwise, but like I said, that's not why I bought it.

What?  My advice was use freeware(dia) for what you are doing because a $300 program can't do a simple function.  To me me it's like doing everything exceptionally well, but not being able to save.

Jeffery - with all due respect, it doesn't really matter how good the picture is to start with (it was exported from a PDF), the point is that Visio currently makes it noticeably worse.

I couldn't disagree with you more when you say that "Visio 2013 is garbage".  In my opinion, it does a pretty good job most of the time and while issues such as these are annoying, there is very little software out there that I am aware of that is 100% bug free. 

I also seem to have missed the pertinent constructive advice in your post - was there a helpful point to what you were saying or were you just having a rant?

McKing38, this is not a good picture to start with.  At high magnification, it is not clear.  I used a PNG that even under high magnification, had straight black edges and no blurring.  With all the updates installed, even the best picture still comes up blurry in visio.  Visio 2013 is garbage.  Freeware renders better than this trash.  While I'm here, why can't Viso accept PDF images? (not that they would work anyway)
